I am a Professor of Economics in an inter disciplinary department (Political Economy) at King's College, London. I  graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a PhD in 1994. My training is in theoretical modelling including Political Economy , public economics, game theory and development. My main field of research is Political Economy.  Most recenly I am working on issues of corruption in developing countries. I am also affiliated with the India Institute at King's College, CAGE, a research center located in the Economics Department at the University of Warwick, and with Nuffield College, Oxford.

I have organized a number of workshops on topics ranging from Sovereign debt, reputational models in economics to a recent workshop on governance which was sponsored by the Journal of Public Economic Theory. I teach Quantitive Methods for Public Policy at King's College.
